Kevin O’Connor meets Charlie Silva out front, where he’s working on siding the house. The homeowners wanted maintenance-free composite siding that requires no painting and eliminates the risk of rotting. Charlie explains the importance of leaving space for expansion and contraction with composite materials. Together, they install a few more pieces.
Inside, Kevin meets homeowner Emily and kitchen designer Kaytlyn Constantinou. Emily shares her vision for the kitchen, and Kaytlyn details how she plans to bring it to life.
Out back, Kevin joins Mark McCullough, who is using repurposed stone from the area where the garage door was cut out to veneer the new addition, ensuring it matches the existing house.
Later, Kevin travels to Switzerland to meet Tobias Jenny, a corporate stakeholder involved with companies that teach vocational skills to teens, training them to become skilled carpenters upon graduation.
Back at the house, Kevin reveals his new look, while Charlie discusses what’s next for the project.
